Associated Mothers in Action
Associated Mothers in Action is a local nonprofit organization dedicated to the nutritional and physical health of Watts, Willowbrook and Compton areas.
Our Mission
Associated Mothers in Action (AMIA) is dedicated to promoting nutritional and physical health within Los Angeles County. AMiA uses gardening as a tool to provide food access, create healthy soil to grow nutritional food while invigorating the community through physical activity and community events.
WHAT WE DO
FOOD ACCESS
AMiA directly provides services to Compton, Willowbrook and Watts by using urban farming as a tool to provide greater food access and education.
SUPPORT
Providing support and empowerment in the community through service and education as we bridge the healthy food equity gap.
HEALTHY HABITS
Giving direct access to nutrition education, nutrient dense foods, and physical activity to promote health and wellness in the community.
